this is my final poster design, i chose the image of a sunrise because for me the song is about traveling, for a long time and sunrise for me represents the end of the night so in this case it could represent the end of the dark times for the traveler and the start of easier times now that he is home i had to get up quite early to catch this shot and when i saw it i thought this just works.

this is my final album cover for my project i chose the image of a tree because i think it represents something about coming home, to family. just something about the tree... seemed welcoming to me.

programmes i will be using in order to create my products

in order to create my final products i will be using a number of products, including;

adobe photoshop

adobe fireworks

apple i movie

apple itimelapse

to film my video i am using an HD camera for the more meaning full shots and for the shots with friends i will be using the camera from the i phone ( 5 mega pixel ) i will be sing this as a hand held because the video and sound quality are both excelent and it gives the rough feel that is required in those shots.

things i will be taking in to consideration when producing my video

i will be taking into consideration many things whilst going through the editing process with my film, the main one being the 3 second rule, no cut should really last longer thank 3 seconds, i believe this is tokeep the watcher intrested and wanting to know what happens

i will also be using camera angle rules in to consideration, i will also take great care in making sure the footage used for my video is in some way related to that of the lyrics of the song.

my 2D products are going to be simple and effective using colours and fonts that i feel reflect the message the song is trying to put across.

ok my video is overall gonna be about having fun right at home, as much as you travel you can have fun, but being out there tiers you, and at the end of it all where you come from will always be the place where you feel most alive and like yourself.

i have filmed several things for my video but editing is proving a problem

the overall idea of my video is traveling and shots made in different places endited togeth in and order slowly getting closer to home, it will also take into account homelessness, and some of the things you see out on the road, edited in to the travel cuts will be shots from a poorer quality camera of friends having a laugh and fun the video will end on a cut of somebody walkin towards a door thinkg twice about entering, but does because he knows what hes missed.

this is the previous album art for bon jovis single who says you cant go home, i will not be trying to replicate this. as for me it doesnt represent the song, i already have photo ideas in mind that will work for this perfectly.

how does timelapse work?

althought i timelapse produces a video as the end product it infact never actualy films a thing, i takes a photo every so many seconds for say up to an hour then condences these photos into a video, the downside to doing this is that the app eats i phone batterey so after making one video i will have to recharge my iphone and then make a new video maybe the following day.

change of song and music video idea

ok, after trying to film the song i originaly chose " linkin park - waiting for the end" and failing epicly, i have decided, after a flush of inspiration whilst listening to my new song choice i already know how i want to film and make the new video.

My new song choise is "bon jovi - who says you cant go home" after watching the original video

i didnt really find much inspiration so i listened to the lyrics and found great inspiration there

i will you this inspiration to film my video along with a few of the tools at my disposal, for example and app recently released for the i phone called "i time lapse" this allows me to take say an hours worth of footage and condense it into a 30 second video, i will use this by filming though the front window of a car as the car is in motion, i will also be using a lot of shots at night and in mid day in order to get my desired effect, i will also be doing some of the driving shots ant night because this adds tot he desired link with lyrics i want, most of the shots outside of the car will be shot in and around my home town at a lot of places linking to travel, to again get the link with the lyrics which i desire.

i will now start to analyise music videos and my shooting will commence on the 2nd of feb as there is a concert i am attanding and i need footage from it to be in my video.

Previous cover analysis

These Are the first 2 albums that linkin park released, as obvious in there earlier years they went for the moreurband image for there covers but this at the time was heavily portrayed in there music aswell because they were a mix of the 2 genres, rap and rock rap being the urban and rock being the rough around the edges parts in the covers.
