these are my first ideas for my logos i am going to ask my class mates which they prefer and develop upon that logo, io made these logos using basic fonts and the group tool in macromedia fireworks

this is a small collage of album covers that i really like, i will use these to inspire my own work,i mainly like these ones because they are all computer generated, which is the style of album art i am aim to create

inspiration for original idea

this is the actual album cover for the new linkin park album a thousand suns, much like mine, it is an eclipsing sun mine will be a little different but bassed around the same idea in oder to be consistent eith the song,

chosen song

the song i have decided to do is by linkin park, and is there new single from there latest album a thousand suns due to this i will post ideas for 2 peices of album art, one for the actual album one for the single. the song is called waiting for the end.

video - hearts burst into fire - BFMV

this song is about a man, who is torn between the things that he loves, touring with his band, and his family, which is obvious from ertain lines of the song for example, iv been away for far to long. or will you wait for me again, the word again in this one is key because it shows that he has done this before, which the band did do, when they released there debut album, the poison they went on a much longer tour. the video is shot in black and whute, which is fitting because it shows there is only 2 things on his mind much like there is only two colours the video is shot in. through out the the video there are several things that show the feelings and emotions ment within the song, like the shots closer to the start when the singer mat is looking at a video of his child, or when he is shown from a medium long shot to not only show that he feels distant from his band mates but that he feels distant from everyone, no one more than his family, there is another shot where the bassist is shown to be stroking a tatto on his arm that says the word ABIGAIL this must be someone close to him whether it be his daughter or it be his wife, this video also shows the high points of being on tour as well as he lows, for example the opening shot where there are thousands of people shouting the word bullet, or one of the many shots where they are on stage being shot with an establishing shot.

This album cover " enemy of the world " by four year strong, pictates the band in an establishing shot with the band members as thing that through out years have gone down as myths or legends that people have feard, and also as modern day threats for example there is one particular male on the cover wielding what appears to be a gun, a thing many people associate with there enemies, also another grasping a baseball bat with nails going through it, not exactly your best friend, other than that the colours in the back ground go from light in the centre to a darker one on the outside this may show evil, this is also shown by the shrowds of darkness surrounding them, other than that, this album cover could be interpritated as a statement to their fans, as this album was alot different to there previous work, again with the colours, the lighter colours in the middle displaying there older music and the darker colours around the outside representing there new stuff that there fans may not be so keen on, this would explain why there are on top of a mountain, maybe showing that they are now enjoying there music more that they ever have , explaing why there are thing below them in this picture that have been included in there previous songs, the picture of the band on the front of this cover also would represent this , because before releasing the album, they released a statement pushing that they may loose fans over this album but they are enjoying the music so they will continue to make it dispite the fans reactions, explaining why the album would be called enemy of the world, the world being there fans and them being the enemy, which would be why they are pictated as the enemy in this photo, and showing force with there poses and actions.
